After working in the industry for over fifteen years as an actress and watching it transition in the southeast, I have grown and gained experience on what it takes to get the job.
As a teacher, I have taught drama for Duke University’s Youth Programs for five years, SpiritHouse for 2 years, and most recently online classes adn workshops, coaching other actors, especially with self-taped submissions, helping them prepare for auditions.
One on one coaching provides a personalized session in which I help the actor ask the right questions throughout the script to formulate an honest and real moment.
In addition to in person private coaching, I also offer the option to get coached via Skype and Zoom. This is for those who can’t travel to me or are working out of town.
Early in my career, almost ALL of the legitimate coaches were based in LA or NY. So I struggled to make sense of the mistakes I was making along the way for several years. My ultimate goal as a coach is to spare you the time and struggle I went through as an actor.
